Weekly Astrology Notes February 26 – March 5, 2019

Tuesday, 2/26: Last Quarter Moon.
Wednesday, 2/27: Sun sextile Mars. Lots of physical energy.
Friday, 3/1: Venus square Uranus. Restless energy, unusual desires. Venus enters Aquarius.
Tuesday, 3/5: Mercury goes Retrograde in Pisces until March 28. A big event, lots of Mercury aspects during this time.
Wednesday 3/6: Uranus enters Taurus just after midnight, so I am including that in this report.

TUESDAY 2/26

3:28am – Moon (Sagittarius) square Sun (Pisces) Last Quarter Moon. Crisis for fulfillment as we reach the high point of this months’ growth cycle. Can be a very successful time when we achieve our goals for this month, or a self-critical time when we close up and begin to re-evaluate things that didn’t turn out as hoped. In these signs, very expansive, hard to feel comfortable within the confines of everyday mundane existence, seek philosophical or spiritual enlightenment to fill in the missing pieces. When we are unwilling to face and question our own beliefs and perspectives, we can get sidetracked on fantasy and delusions. This Last Quarter Moon gives us a peak experience, an expansion of consciousness, transcendental wisdom, that inspires our idealism, but taken too far causes pain and suffering, so be sure to keep things in perspective. Sagittarius can get pompous, extravagant and totally caught up in its’ own perspective, so it’s important to stay grounded in reality and remain humble.

7:16pm – Moon (Sagittarius) square Neptune (Pisces) Emotions clouded by uncertainty, hyper-sensitive to the environment and what others say, so be gentle with yourself and others now, impressions mean more than words. Great for making art, but not a good time to make decisions. Stronger connection to animals and nature, even nature spirits. More psychic, able to feel the subtle vibrations around you. A good time to meditate and work on your connection to spirit. All the squares to Neptune are good in that way.

WEDNESDAY 2/27

6:33am – Moon conjunct Jupiter (Sagittarius) Folks are upbeat, optimistic, generous, looking to move expand your horizons, move on to better circumstances, desire to be helpful. Not in the mood for work or responsibility, feel connected to higher cosmic forces. Relations with women are better than usual for both sexes.

5:10pm – Moon (Sagittarius) square Mercury (Pisces) Emotions interfere with normal communication. In these signs, the mind wanders, hard to focus on mundane tasks. Try to stay grounded, avoid getting totally immersed in your own perspectives. Tendency to either push our opinions onto others or agree with others just to keep the peace. Will add to the Sun/Mars aspect to produce a lot of communication and open expression.

6:33pm – Sun (Pisces) sextile Mars (Taurus) Lots of physical energy. Confident, desire to play and enjoy what you have, brings a party atmosphere, good aspect for socializing. There may be opportunities for financial gain, growth of your personal business. When steadfast Mars in Taurus gets going, they don’t stop, charge ahead like a bull. But Sun in Pisces is passive, interested in the non-physical. The sextile between the two produces a wonderful appreciation of both physical and non-physical side of things. Exploring your sensual side leads to an awakening our spiritual senses, more sensitive to touch and to your surroundings. Good time to indulge in a massage.

Creative energy is looking for an outlet, need to expend energy this evening. Hard physical labor is good for the soul now, including helping others. Sun in Pisces need to sacrifice the ego a bit, so it needs to be some activity that help you connect with higher source. Good aspect for dancing, playing music, having a good time. We’re more confident on the dance floor.

10:17pm – Moon (Sagittarius) trine Uranus (Aries) Ambitious, we want to put our big plans (Sagittarius) into action (Aries). Feel aligned with cosmic forces, lots of inspiration and creative energy, a bit revolutionary. Benefits come from finding something to stimulate the mind, something to bring greater awareness, move on to better circumstances. Void of Course begins.

10:48pm – Moon enters Capricorn. We are more reserved and traditional for the next couple of days, attending to issues related to career and long-term survival. We are more steadfast, dependable, but not as emotionally available at other times, reactions are slower, more cautious. In Capricorn, the Moon learns to see the other side of the issue.

THURSDAY 2/28

6:26am – Moon (Capricorn) trine Mars (Taurus) A strong burst of physical energy, good time for a workout. Aggressive, focused, desire to get a lot accomplished.

7:09pm – Moon (Capricorn) sextile Sun (Pisces) Last sextile before the New Moon, always an easy-going time, inhibitions subside and we can share our thoughts and reflect about the work we did this month. In these signs, very enlightening, philosophical, abstract, intelligent. Good time for any creative endeavors.

FRIDAY 3/1

4:31am – Venus (Capricorn) square Uranus (Aries) Responsible Venus (Capricorn) feels an urge to break free, try something different, behave a little unpredictable. Sudden attractions that stimulate your creative imagination. During this aspect, we express our individuality through our one-to one interactions with others, usually through relationships. And that can be very good. It stimulates our need for change and evolution with a partner, which is great if your partner is feeling the same, the two of you may decide to try something different together. However, partners are less reliable, may need to step in for a less than reliable partner. Let go of constraints on others, if you love someone, set them free. Could cause some disagreements as traditional Venus in Capricorn has a hard time being flexible.

We tend to act more impersonal, friendly and interested but don’t want to get emotionally entangled with others. Folks need more freedom, so the more restrictive you are towards others, the more this aspect brings disruptions. May feel restless, dissatisfied, not happy with your friends or partner or career. Career (Capricorn) restricts your individuality (Aries). Self-discipline (Capricorn) vs. self-determination (Aries). Can be rather critical of self and others. We are more attracted to the unusual, which can sometimes lead to foolish or out of the ordinary behavior. But for the most part, it brings some stimulation to break out of stagnant situation.

Not a good time to make decisions, impulsive and easy to reach the wrong conclusions. Sudden attractions can bring disruptive relationships.

Uranus is egalitarian and wants others to evolve, so you may need to council or help someone else in their relationship, or help provide the missing structure for another relationship. We are each experiencing a crisis to find our place, your personal space (Venus) within the larger group (Uranus). Folks need flexibility now. Just not a good time to be overly structured in your own life or to be demanding with anyone.

The last planetary aspect for Uranus before it enters Taurus and for Venus before it enters Aquarius. A nice introduction.

6:40am – Moon (Capricorn) sextile Neptune (Pisces) Reserved, reflective and sensitive, concerned about the welfare of others. Able to sense the feelings of others and make proper adjustments.

8:45am – Venus enters Aquarius. Until March 26. Impersonal, interested yet emotionally detached. Enjoy spending time within the group where you find peace and harmony. Personal habits and codes of conduct go from very traditional in Capricorn to no rules in Aquarius. Aquarius believes that rules cease to exist when they are no longer necessary, so they only follows rules when they need to. We’re more interested in avant garde art rather than the usual fare, changes in preferences, unusual likes/dislikes. This month you need to find something to stimulate your mind on a regular basis. You need to be flexible, open to new ideas. Try something different.

The only aspects for Venus in Aquarius happen the same day. On 3/21, Venus square Mars and Venus sextile Jupiter.

10:23am – Moon conjunct Saturn (Capricorn) Reserved and cautious, emotions slow down, responses very slow, no reactions out of some folks, or at the least nothing dramatic. We pause and reflect and take stock of the issue before responding to be sure we can consider the long-term effects. Time for therapy, emotional restructuring. Good to eat a nice warm meal now, something you really enjoy. Helps to overcome feelings of disappointment as we are just more aware of our limitations now. We can’t brush them aside, we must look at them. Seek trusted advice. Good time for meditation.

7:48pm – Moon conjunct Pluto (Capricorn) Benefits come from staying focusing and keeping your energy flowing and positive, avoid stagnation. Pluto can bring up intense energies, so avoid resentment or getting fixated on a particular thought to the detriment of everything else in your life, you just need to keep moving and express the energy is a productive way. Lots of passion and stamina, able to focus and do whatever needs to get done. Able to attend to your most vital concerns, money, survival. Good for home cleaning and repair. More sexual energy now. Avoid emotional entanglements, stay away from anything underhanded.

SATURDAY 3/2

8:54am – Moon (Capricorn) sextile Mercury (Pisces) Emotions and intellect working in harmony. Connected to both worlds, desire to be of service to others.

10:47am – Moon (Capricorn) square Uranus (Aries) Intelligent, yet unpredictable, don’t want to be constrained. Folks are touchy now, not a good time for relationships, social interactions in general or to make important decisions. Heightened awareness of our social condition makes us restless, irritable. Emotions mixed with intellect, prone to error, jump to wrong conclusions. Attracted to the unusual, whatever distracts you from the mundane world or enables you to change your mood. Benefits come from liberating yourself from a stagnant situation to a greater awareness. Find something to positively stimulate your mind.. Void of Course begins.

11:06am – Moon enters Aquarius. Activities tend to focus more on social obligations over the next couple of days. Feeling liberated and need to go your own way. Uninhibited, unconventional, don’t follow the rules, more flexible with others. Good time for social activities. Benefits comes from participating in group activities, time spent with friends, equals.

2:03pm – Moon conjunct Venus (Aquarius) Brings a warm, pleasant disposition. We are sensitive and need to approach others with care and consideration. Great time to relax. Good time for business.

SUNDAY 3/3

10:54am – Moon (Aquarius) square Mars (Taurus) Burst of energy, restless, irritable, aggressive. Poor digestion. Impulsive, not a good time to make decisions or to discuss important matters. Challenge is to release the energy in a non-destructive way and not cause damage. Benefits come from not discouraging yourself or others.

MONDAY 3/4

8:30am – Moon (Aquarius) sextile Jupiter (Sagittarius) Benefits come from helping others. Be sure to stretch this morning, a good time for a Yoga session. Brings pleasant disposition, a smile on your face. Inhibitions subside. Desire to be in a crowd. May be opportunities to meet new people, maybe an important social or professional connection, excellent for social endeavors, folks are open-minded, idealistic. Brings lot of bright ideas. Good time for business.

The only aspect for Monday, so it’s a easy-going day.

TUESDAY 3/5

12:05am – Moon (Aquarius) sextile Uranus (Aries) Ambitious, in need of mental stimulation. Good aspect for teaching, helping others move on to better circumstances. Excellent time to spend with friends, activities where you express the unique side of yourself.

This is the last occurrence for a very long time. Void of Course begins. Only 6 minutes!

12:11am – Moon enters Pisces. We are more sensitive and passive for the next couple of days. Imaginative, artistic and reflective, not forthright, always considering some other aspect of the situation, possibly trying to find the spiritual reasons, self-sacrificing. More in tune with the subtle vibrations around you, may need sanctuary to get in tune with spirit.

10:19am – Mercury goes Retrograde at 29d Pisces. Until March 28, down to 16d Pisces. The most common retrograde and the one that garners the most attention is Mercury. This ends the period of all planets moving direct which began January 6, which has helped us make a lot of progress over the first two months of this year.

Mercury is very active during the retrograde period:
Sun conjunct Mercury, 3/14. An especially important aspect this time around.
Mercury square Jupiter, 3/15
Mercury sextile Pluto, 3/16
Mercury sextile Mars, 3/17
Mercury sextile Saturn, 3/20
Mercury conjunction Neptune, 3/24

During retrograde, the energy of that planet turns inward, requires more energy to accomplish the same task, so be prepared to put more effort into your communications, may need to repeat yourself, speak up and just double-check that you got your information correct.

Typically, Mercury retrograde periods are not a good time to travel, make important decisions or start new projects or long journeys, and there tend to be more mechanical breakdowns. Communication does not flow smoothly, there are delays and obstructions.

Two main themes:
1. There is much re-thinking during this time, re-evaluation of ideas and opinions and beliefs and supersitions (Pisces). Not sure how to move ahead, feel like we are in a holding patterns.

2. During this time we can reconcile with the past, reclaim the voice/hands.

When the Pisces energy turns inward, we can make good use of it. More compassionate with yourself.

Not a time to be assertive with your ideas, because assertive, egotistical energy dissolves. More a time to show compassionate for others.

During this time, we need extra time to reflect and reconsider the past, things that have been swept under the rug. Neptune rules the dream world. More time spent sleeping and recuperating, rest is important. Your mind does a lot of healing on the astral planes as you sleep and that is an important part of keeping the mind healthy. Also avoid drugs and intoxicants as they block the lines of communication. Try to keep the mind as pure as possible.

This will be a time for a reckoning with our past especially with respect to things related to Mercury. Particularly so with the upcoming New Moon in Pisces conjunct Neptune. We’re looking at a serious dissolving of old thought patterns and opinions and the general static that goes through your conscious mind on a daily basis. During this cleansing period, life can get a bit confusing, especially if you try to hold on to the past.

We require sanctuary so we can hear the voice of spirit, spend time in nature, more time in meditation and reflection, listening to pleasant music that soothes the soul, reading and writing poetry and keeping a journal. Time of mental recuperation. Avoid anything that brings you down. As well, avoid negative people and places, easy to absorb the thoughts of other. And avoid politics in general.

Complete immersion in water is really therapeutic. Swimming or just walking along the beach, a stream, a lake, any body of water is the perfect place to be because the water will absorb a lot of what you are releasing now.

The best part of this placement is the opening to spirit, Pisces is your direct divine connection to source. We will be reaching deep within, along the way getting powerful psychic impressions that remind us of who we really are and what we need to do next in this life.

Recently, I came across a definition of spiritual, it means “that which binds memories.”

Traditionally we could say that this is a very confusing period of time, but as I see it, the retrograde makes us humble, receptive on a deep emotional level. The only difficulty comes from holding on to something that needs to be let go. Something needs to die off in each of us now.

Mercury square Jupiter will force us to sacrifice some of things we have learned. But we should have pretty good mental abilities during this time this with the sextiles to Pluto and Saturn (Capricorn) and Mars (Taurus). A lot of mental activity during this time with all these aspects. Maybe it won’t feel like the typical Mercury retrograde. It seems like we have a lot of help from others during this time with all these positive aspects.

Mercury conjunct Neptune will be in effect from 3/24 through April 2. A very mentally expansive week.

Check your chart, the house where this falls in your chart is the place where you will be doing a lot of rethinking, experiencing some self-doubt along the way, and ultimately recuperating. And of course, be gentle with yourself and others during this time. Pisces can be very shy and no one wants to be confronted on any issue. Not a time to challenge others.

This Retrograde period includes the New Moon in Pisces and Uranus fully entering Taurus.

WEDNESDAY 3/6

12:35am – Uranus enters Taurus. Uranus in Aries brought about the spiritual warrior, and for me personally, the transit Uranus opposite Mercury (Libra) was the transit that got me started on this channel back in 2015. Folks with planets in Aries and Libra changed a lot. So we can expect the same for Taurus and Scorpio folks. During Uranus in Aries we were ambitious to adopt a new identity. As Uranus goes into Taurus, we’re steadfast and look to build on what we started in Aries.

Taurus says “I own” and corresponds to the ages of 2-4, the point in our early childhood development when we distinguish between what is mine and what is yours. During this time, we expect progressive ideals regarding money and personal possessions to awaken us to a new and better reality.

Sun conjunct Uranus will be on April 22, so we should look for indications that Uranus has arrived in Taurus on that day.

Over the next 7 years or so, expect great changes in personal wealth, rich get poor and poor get rich. The last time Uranus was in Taurus was roughly 1934-1942, during the great Depression here in the USA, a time when there were great changes in fortune. Out of necessity, many used alternative forms of currency, such as barter, so we could see some of that, folks willing to trade things of equal personal value rather than exchange traditional cash. On the positive side, there will be surprise opportunities to earn money and those stuck in a rigid pattern of earning money may find it hard to adapt. Many will find a new way of earning money, and it will likely involve use of modern technology. And that’s what happened last time as many people left the farm and began to work in factories. Maybe now, people will start to leave the factories and return to the land.

In politics, calls for greater equality, redistribution of wealth. The last occurrence coincided with the New Deal back in the mid-1930’s, a series of public works projects designed to help unemployed people during the Depression. So we could see some attempts at redistribution of wealth along those lines.

Uranus is into self-improvement. Folks willing to spend money on classes, seminars, and workshops designed for self-improvement.

Taurus is fixed and dogmatic, so social groups and organizations become the same way, stubborn and a bit selfish, more concerned about the preservation of their own values rather than society as a whole, which may seem to be a bit contradictory. Notice Taurus squares Aquarius, hard to integrate the energy of Uranus into Taurus, there needs to be some pulling back, a restriction of range of activity, more realistic, less idealistic. The positive side is that we will see the creation of many more social groups. Taurus is Earth and ambitious Uranus needs to build something physical, tangible that reflects personal values. Individuals more willing to invest their money into something that is good for the community and reflects their personal values. We will see lots of new groups, which may have a small number of individuals, but they will serve a vital need in the community.

As Uranus opposes planets in Scorpio it brings a serious conflict of collective values. Scorpio rules banks, where we all keep our money. Uranus is now focused on Scorpio, the opposite sign, it’s object of desire. So Uranus is looking to create more economic balance in society. Rigid banking systems that hide the wealth of the people will be forced to change, and ultimately bring a lot of positive change to the banking industry, just like it did the last time in the 1930’s.

Uranus is the planet of revolution and social upheaval and will draw upon Scorpio energies to fuel that activity. Uranus opposition planets in Scorpio will bring revolution, conflicts and war.

At the last occurrence, there was a lot of changing roles for women in society, more progressive attitudes adopted. Women began to enter the work force, and this happened again at Uranus in Cancer in the early 1950’s. Taurus and Cancer are the traditional feminine signs and Uranus brought a lot of progressive changes for women during those years. So what will happen this time?

Tuesday 2/12: First Quarter Moon. Mars conjunct Uranus. Long Moon V/C from mid-afternoon until early next morning.
Thursday, 2/14: Mars enters Taurus. Valentine’s Day, Sun trine Moon in the evening.

TUESDAY 2/12

12:05am – Moon (Taurus) trine Saturn (Capricorn) Benefits come from enjoying your duty and responsibility. Very practical and down to earth. There are opportunities for financial gains.

10:54am – Moon (Taurus) trine Pluto (Capricorn) Benefits come from participating in the community, helping others. Need to merge your energy with others. Feel a strong connection and hence commitment to society. Excellent time for business, there will be opportunities for material gain. Lots of energy and stamina, able to get a lot accomplished. Strong burst of energy and you just need to keep moving.

2:26pm – Moon (Taurus) square Sun (Aquarius). First Quarter Moon. Void of Course begins, continues until early tomorrow. Crisis for fulfillment as we lay the foundation for this months’ growth. Aquarius wants to move on to something new, but Taurus Moon is comfortable, slow to change, stubborn. You need to move out of your comfort zone, or maybe spend some money in order to make progress. Taurus square Aquarius, personal values vs. the groups’ values. Are your values out of step with the group? Or do you have enough money to finance your entrepreneurial activities, your goals for self-improvement?

10:19pm – Mars conjunct Uranus (Aries) Last occurrence was February 26, 2017, almost exactly 2 years ago. Actions (Mars) are expressed in unusual or unconventional (Uranus) ways, so expect out of the ordinary behavior. Desire (Mars) change (Uranus), but may be change for the sake of change, not because you really need it. Adventurous, can lead to rash or impulsive behavior, or just expressing yourself in strange ways, forgetting your place and the usual self-restraint that social situations require.

Brings a strong desire for freedom and independence, not going along with tradition, loosing sight of your limitations which can lead to accidents if you’re not careful, accident prone. Not an aspect for doing any precise work the requires patience and attention to detail. Athletic, desire to push yourself beyond your usual limits. More confidence, unwillingness to follow the rules, defiant against authority figures, insist on doing things your own way. Avoid jumping to hasty conclusions that often turn out to be wrong.

Aspect can give you a very idealistic notion of yourself, a desire to adopt a new (Uranus) identity (Mars), can be very positive, motivated to initiate some program for self-improvement, a big part of this months’ New Moon in Aquarius. With the accompanying trine from Jupiter (Sagittarius), even more so. Aspect encourages you to break out of a stagnant situation and that can be disruptive, but for the better. We’re opportunistic, motivated to make a bold move, doing something surprising to break out of the box. You may feel inspired to embark on a new project or business venture or even an adventure. Mars love to start things and Uranus is an entrepreneur. So a beneficial use of this energy is to create something unique that is an expression of your identity, engage in some new self-improvement activity.

WEDNESDAY 2/13

1:32am – Moon enters Gemini. More mentally active for the next couple of days. Lots of communication, short trips around town, catching up with others. Better able to solve mental problems, doing tasks with your hands, doing two things at once.

12:36pm – Moon (Gemini) square Mercury (Pisces) Thinking clouded by emotions. Trying to find the missing pieces. Benefits come from not changing your opinions just to agree with the current mood or to avoid controversy. Not a good time for social interactions. May need to release frustration in a safe way. Delays may pop up, drive with caution.

THURSDAY 2/14

2:51am – Mars enters Taurus. Until March 30. In it’s detriment, Mars can get stubborn, dogmatic, too focused on material possessions, insist on doing things your own way. Taurus is the bull, and when Mars in Taurus gets going it’s hard to stop, but has great endurance. At this time we are more interested in making progress on existing projects rather than starting new ones. Mars in Taurus likes to own their own business, be their own boss, so this is a good placement for putting more energy into your own business. A nice prelude to Uranus in Taurus which really loves to do that. Also, placement brings a desire to have a good time, enjoy what you have, makes for a party atmosphere. Brings a strong desire to earn money, even get rich quick schemes. And with the aspects we’re getting it looks like there will be some good opportunity for that.

2/27: Sun sextile Mars.
3/10: Mars sextile Neptune.
3/14: Mars trine Saturn.
3/20: Mars trine Pluto.
3/22: Mars quincunx Jupiter.

With no challenging aspects for Mars in Taurus, we should get the best of it.

4:56am – Moon (Gemini) square Neptune (Pisces) Emotions clouded by uncertainty, hyper-sensitive to the environment and what others say, so be gentle with yourself and others now, impressions mean more than words. Great for making art, but not a good time to make decisions. Stronger connection to animals and nature, even nature spirits. More psychic, able to feel the subtle vibrations around you.

12:56pm – Moon (Gemini) opposition Jupiter (Sagittarius) Loud and extravagant. Mouth opens wide, say and eat too much. Brings meetings and sometimes confrontations between opposing viewpoints, energetic but it’s good because it brings people together and you get to see the other side of the issue. Perfect aspect for a lunch meeting. Emotions expand to encompass more, can be overbearing, say too much, get carried away. Poor financial judgment. But folks are generally in a good mood with a pleasant disposition. Good time for business.

11:49pm – Moon (Gemini) trine Sun (Aquarius) First Trine. Inhibitions subside, creative energy flows. There are opportunities for success, reach for them. In air signs, ideas and communication flow smoothly, open-minded, desire to mingle freely in a crowd. On Valentine’s evening, the perfect aspect for romance and recreation.

FRIDAY 2/15

4:48am – Moon (Gemini) sextile Uranus (Aries) Benefits come from stimulating mental activity. Mind is active, more intelligent, more aware of your surroundings, curious, more aware of what others are thinking. Makes for interesting and lively conversation. Void of Course begins.

6:03am – Moon enters Cancer. More passive, sensitive and in need of nurturing for the next couple of days. More warm, caring and sentimental, good time to spend at home where you feel comfortable, and can devote time to your emotional bonds. Desire to crawl into your shell so you let your guard down. Emotions are more important than intellect now. We are more vulnerable now, so be gentle with yourself and others. Cancer is the crab which never approaches anything directly, always walks sideways, so Cancer never wants to be approached directly. We tend to eat more during these times.

7:24am – Moon (Cancer) sextile Mars (Taurus) Benefits come from directing yourself in a confident manner. Need to feel like you are directing your own life at this time. Inhibitions subside and you have more physical energy.

SATURDAY 2/16

We’re very sensitive on Saturday morning.

6:23am – Moon (Cancer) opposition Venus (Capricorn) Heightened sensitivity to the feelings of others makes interactions more difficult, but meetings bring awareness of other viewpoints. Good time for a heart to heart talk.

7:49am – Moon (Cancer) trine Neptune (Pisces) Very sensitive, considerate, desire to share your feelings. Cancer to Pisces, able to share feelings with others, expression of humanitarian qualities, something that unifies people towards a common understanding. However, Neptune can still bring a feeling of loss.

9:40am – Moon (Cancer) opposition Saturn (Capricorn) A time of emotional restriction as insecurities seem to hold us back, hard to share feelings, but the opposition brings harsh reality and you may be compelled to discuss important matters. Take nothing seriously now, avoid falling into depression. Benefits come from not depending upon others for your emotional security, stay in the present moment, don’t worry about the future and eat a nice warm meal.

6:39pm – Moon (Cancer) opposition Pluto (Capricorn) We are very sensitive, possessive, easily offended. Social interactions are challenging. Brings passion, obsessions with an issue, sudden urges, but it forces you to deal with your emotions honestly. Able to isolate yourself and analyze an issue, make internal corrections. Avoid emotional entanglements during this time.

SUNDAY 2/17

12:45am – Venus (Capricorn) sextile Neptune (Pisces) Dreamy and sensitive. We are all in the mood for peaceful exchanges and placid surroundings, nothing confrontational. Very compassionate and understanding, a good time to share your feelings with a trusted friend or counselor. Or maybe sacrifice your time for someone. Able to understand your partner on a deeper level. Willingness to overlook the bad side in others, forgive. Open to meeting new people, caring towards others, even strangers. Relationships come to terms with issues. Constructive changes in your relationship, sacrifice what isn’t working. Deal with hidden aspects of a relationship, issues from the past that were never fully resolved. A stronger appreciation for art and music and the talent and discipline it takes to master those skills. A great aspect for making art, it will reflect the qualities of your soul. More psychic now, open to the subtle influences around us.

Aspect is strongest on Saturday evening, which should make for a pleasant time and great for all social endeavors.

6:17am – Moon (Cancer) square Uranus (Aries) Intelligent, yet stubborn and sensitive, a challenging combination. Distracted by anything that stimulates the mind. Not a good time for social interactions or to make important decisions. Emotions mixed with intellect, prone to error, jump to wrong conclusions. Benefits come from liberating yourself from a stagnant situation to a greater awareness. Find something to positively stimulate your mind. Void of Course begins.

7:21am – Moon enters Leo. We are more playful, creative and dramatic for the next couple of days. Leo rules romance and recreation and we gain benefits through these activities now. Time to spend teaching your children and attending to your hobbies.

10:57am – Moon (Leo) square Mars (Taurus) Burst of energy, restless, irritable, aggressive, poor digestion. Impulsive, not a good time to make decisions or to discuss important matters. Challenge is to release the energy in a non-destructive way and not cause unnecessary damage. Benefits come from not discouraging yourself or from not allowing others to discourage you. Beware of absorbing other people’s anger.

11:54pm – Sun (Aquarius) sextile Uranus (Aries) Creative (Sun) energy is expressed in unusual and innovative (Uranus) ways. Out of the ordinary behavior and higher than normal intelligence, psychic abilities are stronger. A day of surprises, excitement, lots of creative energy, able to overcome inhibitions. Desire to do something different and interesting, learn something new, stimulate the mind, make some new friends. More enlightened, able to connect with people on a higher level, seeing the value in others, seeing one another as equals, forming a communal bond. Merge our creative efforts with the group. The creative power of the group is greater than the sum of the parts. Egalitarian values. Makes for interesting exchanges, powerful bonds of friendship form. Transform your life and others for the better, move on to better circumstances. Liberation, relief from a shared burden. Feeling inalienable from the community, like you really belong. Great time for group activities. Desire to welcome new members into the community. Create something that is a unique expression of your talents. Start a new self-improvement program, make a change for the better.

This New Moon in Aquarius promises dynamic self-expression and this most certainly is the day for that. Aspect sharpens the reflexes, we react quickly, however, just a few hours later we have Venus conjunct Saturn, which slows down the reactions, makes for a interesting contrast of energies.

MONDAY 2/18

2:52am – Venus conjunct Saturn (Capricorn). Feeling conservative, reserved. Hard to show affection, we put up walls, hesitate to be sure, so interactions seem cold. Relationships that start now tend to have longevity but little excitement. In existing relationships, partners feel distant. It is a time of re-evaluation, a good time to seek advice from a trusted friend or counselor. More capable of remaining still, not reacting, giving the mind a chance to process things more deeply. We are looking for certainty, not change, more rigid, a total contrast to the previous aspect. Not interested in superficial things, don’t want buy anything unless you really need it, only then are you willing to spend the money. Brings out our frugal side. It is however a good time to sign contracts, make deals and conduct important business matters, both sides are aware of the terms. Able to attend to matters with patience and great attention to detail.

3:04pm – Sun enters Pisces. Until March 20. We are more compassionate and understanding this month. We are also more sensitive and easily hurt by rejection. During this time we become more aware of the subconscious forces operating in our lives and try and come to terms with them. Pisces is what has been swept under the rug, the place where things get left behind from earlier in life, things that were not resolved and these remain as strange or contradictory behavioral patterns, beliefs and superstitions. These things become more prevalent now, so you may need to come to terms with them. Benefits comes from making peace with yourself and others. It is good to sit back and reflect on life, spend time in nature, get a stronger connection to your spiritual source and face the reckoning with your past that we all must do at this time, and whenever the Sun enters your 12th house. Looking at the aspects we should have some good opportunities.

2/27: Sun sextile Mars.
3/6: New Moon at 15d Pisces. Sun conjunct Neptune.
3/8: Sun sextile Saturn.
3/13: Sun sextile Pluto and Sun square Jupiter.

4:00pm – Moon (Leo) trine Jupiter (Sagittarius) Enthusiastic, optimistic, desire to interact with others in a beneficial way, very helpful and positive attitude. Creative and physical energies reach a high point, lot you can with this energy. Folks are warm and sympathetic, desire to be a crowd.

10:37pm – Mercury conjunct Neptune (Pisces) This aspect stimulates your idealism, humanitarian values. Thinking about the spiritual reasons why things are the way they are, looking for hidden clues, the missing pieces to the puzzle, may be concerned with issues from the past, sentimental thoughts about your siblings. Need to pause and reflect, consider other factors. Might get a little absent minded, loose your car keys. May get completely immersed in a subject in an attempt to glean all that is of value therein.

Can feel a bit restless, the conscious mind can get overwhelmed, so you may not feel like talking much, hard to find the right words that reflect all that you want to express. We’re very sensitive, we avoid harsh interactions, heightened sensitivity to sound and touch. Speak softly to be heard, the soft approach works best. May be better to write it down in a little card, something sentimental. Good time to write poetry and music, it will reflect the qualities of your soul.

So idealistic that you may surrender your ideas to a higher purpose or greater cause, but avoid agreement just to keep the peace. Hearing the voice of spirit. Interested in fantasy, escapism, diversions. Not a good time to confront others or to make agreements. Consciously acknowledge divinity within you and all living things. Can be very consciousness expanding. Good time for meditation this evening.
